Paula Julie Abdul was born in the San Fernando Valley on June 19, 1962. Paula was inspired by the dance and acting styles of these great performers and she was convinced that she would follow in their footsteps. Paula has achieved enormous success as an entertainer as her dance style, and music videos have given her many awards and recognition. She has sold millions of albums worldwide and has 7 number one singles to her credit. Paula has done it all. She has choreographed the top musical talents in the world, such as the Jacksons, Janet Jackson, ZZ Top, George Michael, Duran Duran, and many others. She has also done choreography in movies and television. She has been an inspiration and is adored by many fans all over the world. Paula's success an an all around entertainer has been highly recognized and appreciated, but it is her loving personality, her giving spirit, and her unbelievable will to never give up, that makes her the person she is. Paula has fought her way to the top as she has suffered an eating disorder, two divorces, a back injury that left her with such pain she could not lift her head off the pillow, and many rejections tbroughout her life. But Paula never quit. She wanted to achieve her dreams no matter what it took. Paula was different, she was small, she had unique, exotic looks. She faced adversity, and she overcame it. It has been since 1995 since Paula has released an album, it has been rumored many times that she plans on releasing another album in the future. Whether she decides to release another album or not, Paula still remains successful in her career as she is a judge on the reality hit television show American Idol. Paula has added more new fans to her already huge fanbase, and has numerous projects already in the works. She just released her new clothing line called Skirtz and has a jewelry line called Innergy. Paula is starting her 5th season on American Idol and has no plans of stopping her dream of success any time soon.
