The Van Zant name has been linked to a rock n roll legacy that spans over thirty years.
Brothers Johnny and Donnie Van Zant are noted musicians, songwriters and performers, individually and as a duo. Collectively they have sold over 50 million records worldwide, Johnny as lead singer for legendary rock group, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Donnie as one of the lead singers and rhythm guitarist for popular southern rock band, 38 Special.
Having collaborated on two independent discs as a duo, VAN ZANT now readies their major label debut country disc for Columbia Nashville. The brothers� distinctive styles and dedication to their blue collar roots have served as a template for generations of country and rock artists throughout the past three decades.
The Van Zant brothers have teamed with notable country producers Mark Wright (Brooks & Dunn/Gretchen Wilson) and Joe Scaife (Montgomery Gentry/Gretchen Wilson) to deliver a project that will have country, rock and southern rock music fans cranking up the volume on their radio, cd and ipod players all across the nation.
